Flowzone Engineering Solution

Neles™ modular pocket feeder valve

The Neles M Series pocket feeder valve is specially engineered for use in separator applications within the pulp and paper industry. Its primary purpose is to automatically remove sand and other small impurities from the production process. This valve is typically used in conjunction with the chip chute circulation process of a continuous pulp digester, as well as other junk traps. The complete unit comprises a full-bore ball valve, a pneumatic actuator, limit switches, and solenoids for purging the interior cavity of the valve.

Benefits

  • Eliminates the need for separate 2 on/off valves and 2 air evacuation valves, resulting in cost savings.
  • Simplifies the control logic system and reduces the required instrumentation.
  • Solids-proof design, including seats, ensures long-lasting operation.
  • Efficient purging system keeps the valve clean by preventing the accumulation of debris.

Features

  • Features a solids-proof design with seat protection that prevents jamming.
  • The body cavity is equipped with purge connections for flushing the cavity and ball during the emptying cycle.
  • Offers a full 180° stroke for enhanced operational flexibility.
  • Can be operated at full process pressure without any through flow.

Applications

  • Sand removal
  • Fines and debris removal
